5th July 2017 Wednesday Luncheon Circle

Wednesday Luncheon Circle.   A visit to Trinity House.  A charity dedicated to safeguarding shipping and seafarers, providing education, support and welfare to the seafaring community wih a statutory duty as a General Lighthouse Authority to deliver a relaible, efficient and cost-effective aids to navigation service for the benefit and safetly of all mariners.    12.00 for 12.30pm  After an informal lunch at the club, we will make our way to Tower Hill via London Underground.  Ticket Price £34.00 per person includes lunch and a guided tour.

18th July 2017 An Illustrated Talk by Mr Ronald Porter (Dress Black Tie)

An illustrated talk by Mr Ronald Porter (Dress Black Tie)    "Rebel or Rogue? The Life and Times of Lord Boothby, 1900-86".  To celebrate 50 years of the Sexual Offences Act, Ronald Porter has agreed to repeat his acclaimed talk on Boothby, a highly popular , but controversial, left wing Tory politician. He was bi-sexual and an enthusiastic advocate of Gay Rights in the 1950s and 1960s.   7.00 for 7.30pm   Ticket Price £53.00 per person including reception and wine.   Ladies are strongly encouraged to wear their tiaras.  A prize of full afternoon tea at the club, for two, with a bottle of champagne - will be offered to the lady judged to be wearing the best tiara !
