NLC Chess Circle - 4th Annual Lightning Chess Tournament
Chess players are warmly invited by the National Liberal Club Chess Circle to play in the fourth annual NLC Lightning Chess Tournament on Thursday 20 February 2020.
This will be a relaxed and enjoyable evening of lightning chess (in which moves are played alternately to a 10 second metronome buzzer). Each player will play around five games over the course of the evening. The winner will have their name etched on the glittering Ming Vase. We hope to welcome both NLC members and chess playing members from other Clubs. Players of all abilities welcome.
The tournament will start at 7pm sharp, with players encouraged to meet at the bar at 6.30 for refreshments. We will be dining afterward (a special set menu will be on offer).
A report of last year's event is here - http://nlcchess.net/2019/03/07/lightning-never-strikes-thrice/
Entries can be taken on the night, but it would be helpful if prospective entrants would let Ben Widdicombe (email@example.com) know they intend to play in order to get an idea of numbers which will in turn help with arrangements.
