Founded 1895 it is primarily a business, sporting and gaming Club based in the heart of downtown Sydney. Originally connected with horse racing the Club still holds two race meetings per year.  Situated in the central business district with magnificent views over Hyde Park.  No accommodation available. Open Monday to Sunday but not open Christmas Day or Good Friday. Mens/ladies gymnasiums – pool, spa, sauna etc. Dining – casual and formal. Live entertainment, bars, snooker, library, indoor bowls, ski lodge. Parts of the Club are no smoking areas. Dress code: attire must be clean, neat & tidy, in  good repair and in good taste at all times. Ripped, torn, frayed worn or offensive clothing not permitted. Nor dirty footwear or clothing, bare feet or rubber thongs, headwear, swimwear, singlets, football jersey or shorts. Guests permitted, but restricted access for under-18s.  Letter of introduction or current NLC membership card required. No accounts, immediate payment.
